Tips for Concealing Dark Circles and Facial Fatigue

skin care tips and tricks

The main revealing signs of a tired look and tired skin are the unsightly dark circles and bags, so trying to reduce them will be key to a more vital and awake face.

I advise you to use some of the following home remedies before using makeup tricks, which are ideal to deflate the area and make dark marks under your eyes much less visible:

Prepare an infusion of chamomile, moisten some cotton discs when it is very cold and place them on the eyes for 15 or 20 minutes.
Place a few slices of cucumber on the eyelids, leaving it to rest for 20 minutes.
Place tea bags in the refrigerator and then place them on the eyes, swollen and tired.

Skin

  • When you have managed to reduce inflammation and reduce dark circles under the eyes, it will be time to give way
to make-up to conceal the tired look. Your great ally will be especially the concealer and you should choose one that is only slightly lighter in tone than your skin to avoid getting a too artificial finish. (In this post I explained how to choose the best dark circles concealer).
  • Hydration can restore the balance of your skin. Exfoliates to get rid of dead cells, your skin will look smoother and brighter and moisturizes well every day.
  • Refreshes the skin of the face with cold water baths.
  • Use illuminator: although they may seem complicated to use, they provide a subtle shine without the need for exaggerated treatments. Liquids are the easiest to use, just mix a few drops with your favorite base or moisturizer. Apply to the upper cheekbones, nasal septum, and upper lip.
  • Solid illuminators. These types of illuminators are allies for your makeup. Apply to key areas such as temples, eyebrow bone, a point on the upper lip or nose.
  • To conceal fatigue with makeup, it is best to use liquid bases that are not solid, as they are lighter and do not accentuate imperfections such as wrinkles or swelling.
  • Try not to use powder to seal makeup all over the face, as it makes the skin’s texture thicker and therefore looks more tired. I advise you to use them only if it is very necessary because your makeup shines too brightly on the front and chin.
  • I also recommend you to use sleep masks, face awakening creams… These are the newest beauty products that simulate 8 hours of restful sleep.

Eyes

  • If fatigue is reflected in a dark circles problem, you should focus on buying a good concealer. It is not the most expensive the best, but the one that best suits your needs. It is important the texture and that it is of the same tone as your skin or a lighter tone if it is too clear you will only get a mask effect.
  • Apply it from the tear area to the outer part of the eye, giving small touches and blurring the ends well, and voilĂ ! the dark circles will be completely gone.
  • If your dark circles are very marked and even have a lilac or purple shade, it is preferable to use a yellow concealer.
  • Another infallible make-up trick to conceal the tired look is to give some points of light. Use a light beige pencil or white eyeliner and apply it right in the tear area to brighten the eyes. And to make them look larger and more open, apply it also on the lower waterline in a subtle way, replacing the classic black eyeliner that, on the contrary, hardens the look and dwarfs the eyes.
  • Use a neutral colored eye pencil and outline the lower eyelids. This will make your eyes clearer. Use brown colors and chocolates.
  • It also avoids pink, purple or lavender shadows and pastels in general. The bluish tones, in general, make you look more tired.
  • Before wearing an eyelash mask, make use of the eyelash curler and your gaze will look much more awakened instantly. Apply a layer of mascara from the root to the tips of the same, when dry apply the second layer, but be careful not to form stickers, this would make you look more tired.
  • If your eyes are small you should make up with light and luminous colors such as beige, nude and gold. Emphasize the inner corners of the eyes, this makes your eyes wake up instantly.

Lips and Colorants

  • An infallible alternative to giving joy to your gaze and your skin is to make up the lips in cheerful tones. Coral, orange, pink or red in any of its versions make the eyes go towards your mouth, covering up tired eyes.
  • Avoid lipstick with glitter or “frosted”, as they make your teeth look more yellow and give your skin an ashy shade. I recommend using gloss in transparent or reddish tones.
  • Apply a bright blush to the cheeks. Choose a pink tone to intensify the natural pink of your cheeks. And it uses bright and bright colors, pink, orange, apricot.
  • Do not use matt formulas or muted colors such as brown and beige.
  • Avoid the sun effect, you need to revitalize your skin but if you look tired, you will not solve it by applying sun powder on your face. If you have no alternative because you don’t have a blush in the shades I told you about before, use sun powder but only apply them in the lower cheekbone, as if it were blush and on the temples, never on the bone of the eyebrow or where we have applied the illuminator.

May you be very happy! Until my next post!
